Heat take Game 1 in close faught game

As anticipated this series opener was a nail biter straight to the end. The Miami Heat led by Jimmy Butler (40) won Game 1 over the Milwaukee Bucks. With Miami coming off that first round sweep against the Indiana Pacers, seemed to show no signs of slowing down. The Heat did a great job of slowing down Giannis Antetokounmpo, holding him to only 18 points. Although he was very aggressive getting to the line 12 times but only converting on 4 attempts.

In the 4th quarter the Heat turned up their intensity on defense and were causing a lot of problems for the Milwaukee Bucks. The main contributor was Jimmy Butler both defensively and offensively. He definitely carried his team to a victory tonight. He scored 40 points on the night and 27 of those points came in the 2nd half. He also came up with some big steals that helped seal the win in the 4th quarter.

Keys from the game

Milwaukee point guard Eric Bledsoe was ruled out of Game 1 against the Miami Heat with a strained hamstring. Bledsoe was listed as questionable prior to the game, before the Bucks decided to sit him out for Game 1.

Giannis’s shooting woes from the free throw line. Today he shot 4/12 from the free throw line. He did air ball 1 of his free throws and left a lot of them short which barely grazed the front of the rim.

Khris Middleton was held to 9 points in the second half on 3/10 shooting. He was feeling it in the first half scoring 21 points on 9/14 shooting. Jimmy Butler was doing a great job on him and not letting him get any easy looks at the basket. He also had a some costly turnovers deep in the 4th quarter that helped Miami seal the win.
